Information we collect

When you use ToyRelay, we may collect information you provide to us, including your name, email address, display name, profile photo, city and neighbourhood.

We also collect information you create or provide while using ToyRelay, such as listings, purchases, sales, swap offers, messages exchanged with other members, selected Relay Points, package activity, transaction history, reports and disputes.

Location

ToyRelay uses your selected city and neighbourhood to help show nearby listings and approximate distances.

We use an approximate neighbourhood location rather than displaying your exact home address. Other members may see your neighbourhood and an approximate distance from their area, but your exact home address is not displayed by ToyRelay.

Relay Points are businesses, so their business locations may be shown to users where needed to complete a transaction.

Payments

Payments made through ToyRelay are processed using third-party payment providers. ToyRelay may receive and retain information about a transaction, such as the amount, payment status, seller payout status, refunds and related transaction identifiers.

Your payment information is handled securely by our payment provider. ToyRelay does not store your full credit or debit card details. Our payment providers use industry-standard security measures to protect your payment information.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate and improve ToyRelay, including to:

• show relevant nearby listings and calculate approximate distances;
• connect buyers and sellers;
• process purchases, sales and swaps;
• route and track packages through Relay Points;
• process payments, refunds and seller payouts;
• communicate with you about your account and transactions;
• provide customer support and resolve disputes;
• maintain transaction and package records;
• prevent fraud, misuse and other prohibited activity; and
• maintain the safety and security of ToyRelay.

Sharing

We share information where reasonably necessary to operate ToyRelay.

Other members may receive information needed to complete a transaction, such as your display name, listing information and transaction status.

Relay Point Hosts receive the package and transaction information needed to accept, hold and release packages. They do not need your home address to perform this role.

We also use third-party service providers for services such as hosting, payments, email, maps and other technology needed to operate ToyRelay. These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.

We do not sell your personal information.

Messages and marketplace activity

Messages sent through ToyRelay may be stored so that conversations can be delivered to participants and, where necessary, reviewed for customer support, safety, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

Listings, offers, transaction events and package activity may also be retained as part of ToyRelay’s marketplace and transaction records.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ToyRelay, maintain your account, complete transactions, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax, accounting and security requirements.

Deleting your account may not immediately remove information that we are required or reasonably need to retain, including records associated with completed transactions, payments, disputes or fraud prevention.

Your choices

You can review and update certain account information through your ToyRelay account.

You may also contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, or to request deletion of your account and personal information, subject to records we may need or be required to retain.

You can update your city and neighbourhood through your account settings. Changes to your location may affect the location and distance information shown with your active listings.

Children

ToyRelay is intended for adults using the service to buy, sell or swap items for children and families. Children should not create ToyRelay accounts or provide personal information directly through the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ToyRelay develops or our practices change. When we make changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page.

For significant changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
